I tend to read a lot. In the past thirteen years I’ve read 627 books. That’s not counting the numerous children’s books I’ve read to my grandchildren whenever I get the chance to see them. I can easily say that in my 57 years, I’ve read thousands of books, especially when you count the MANY books I read to my boys when they were growing up. Reading is an active part of my life. I tend to read a fair amount of Christian historical fiction so I can stay current with what’s in the marketplace, and because I thoroughly enjoy them. 🙂 But from time to time, I also pick up nonfiction titles, especially when I’m researching a current theme to a book I’m writing.
So what is on my current to-be-read list? My Sunday School class has been reading through a book by Jerry Bridges called Respectable Sins. I have found it be challenging my thoughts and faith. I strongly encourage reading it.
Next on the list is You’re Going to Be Okay by Holley Gerth. This is my first time reading a book by her. I’m gleaning some truths from there that help to encourage me.
These other two books are ones that I’ve been slowly working through as I study the current theme for my next book – trust.
So how about you, what’s on your reading list?
